My aunt is in town and she and her daughter refuse to see each other (daughter lives nearby). Am I right to find this horrible?

My aunt, the mother, seems to not care she is estranged from her daughter.

She however doesn't take the step to reach out to the mother the very few times the mother reaches out.

There is no doubt the daughter had some issues in high school but she does not anymore at all.

The mother has a weird almost narcissistic way of parenting where her one daughter is terrible and the other amazing and practically a soulmate.
